    Exactly, the whole function needs to be in there with the minor changes you make, as the theme will use that function instead of the parent theme function.

    You need to copy the entire function from functions.php, so it would start/end with:

    function magazinertwo_setup() {

    >>Copy over the entire function here and then make the change to magaziner-medium.<<

    }

    If you are doing it with a child theme.

    If you are editing the parent theme directly, that code above there looks correct.

    Yeah, should be medium.

    Hm, perhaps there are plugins that does this – I’ve never tried it myself, but give it a shot:

    If that doesn’t work, try this:
    https://havecamerawilltravel.com/photographer/wordpress-thumbnail-crop/

    Under where it says “Top Center”, they give this example code:

    add_image_size( 'wordpress-thumbnail', 200, 200, array( 'center', 'top' ) );

    So, the image sizes to edit would be in functions.php on line 76-78 (for Magaziner 3.0), there it says:

    // Thumbnail sizes
    add_image_size( 'magaziner-small', 160, 160, true );
    add_image_size( 'magaziner-medium', 520, 292, true );
    add_image_size( 'magaziner-large', 1000, 562, true );

    Modify it as you wish and then regenerate thumbnails.

    in reply to: Should I use a Child Theme with Magaziner? #1430

    That depends – are you just going to do minor CSS changes? If so, just put that CSS in the “Additional CSS” (Customize > Additional CSS) field and use no child theme. If you plan on changing code within the theme, then it is a good idea to use a child theme to not get your changes overwritten when you update the theme.

    in reply to: mobile menu #1359

    Hi,

    Not entirely sure how you mean here.

    The mobile menu works in this way: It looks exactly the same as the header menu, but at 719px width, it replaces the header menu links. If you do not use the mobile menu, the header menu will be active for all screen widths.

    The theme only has one menu in the header active at one time, so you can’t get 2x menus to display at once.

    Hi!

    This theme is built differently to Boxcard. The featured image will only appear for the Image format posts. If you want an image like on the demo for audio, embed soundcloud links. The video format will show the video directly instead of a featured image.

    in reply to: side widget #1357

    Hi!

    To get this widget, download and activate the alx extensions plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/alx-extensions/

    Then add the Alx Tabs widget to your sidebar, and disable the areas you don’t want to show for the tabs. On the demo site, only Recent and Popular is shown.
