Hi Alan. Try installing the Alx Extensions plugin and activate it. Then run the regenerate thumbnails plugin once and see if that improves it any.
If you still have issues, try uploading featured images with higher quality. Please use the support forums if you have more questions.

Hi, glad to hear 🙂 You can try enabling Jetpack Infinite Scroll, however the infinite scroll in the theme is a bit unstable and buggy, so I wouldn’t recommend using it yet.

Currently only images on the homepage/blog list. On single posts you can however add audio and video at the top.

I would turn off Jetpack infinite scroll as it is buggy at the moment. Dashboard > Jetpack > Settings > Writing > Infinite Scroll

Enjoying using this theme so far, thanks very much. Just having a little trouble getting my child theme to use dark mode. I’ve created a shell of a child theme, where the style.css is empty apart from the name and template. I can successfully switch to the child theme, but when I’m using the child theme, switching on “dark mode” has no effect.
